To ensure your board remains in excellent condition and lasts for years to come, follow these detailed care instructions.

 

Daily Use Cleaning

 

1. Wipe with a Soft Microfiber Cloth
   After each use, gently wipe the board with a soft microfiber cloth. This will remove any crumbs or food particles without scratching the surface.

2. Use Mild Soap
   Use a small amount of mild soap with warm water to clean the board if necessary. Ensure the soap is gentle to avoid damaging the finish.

3. Avoid Harsh or Abrasive Cleaners
   Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. These will strip the finish and damage the board's surface.

 

Deep Cleaning

Periodically, your charcuterie board may require a deeper clean:

 

1. Prepare a Mild Soap Solution
   Mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm water.

2. Clean the Surface
   Dampen a soft microfiber cloth with the solution and gently clean the board. Do not soak the board or leave it submerged in water.

3. Dry Immediately
   After cleaning, use a dry microfiber cloth to wipe the board and remove moisture. Keep your board away from excessive moisture and never put it in the dishwasher.

 Bold wood Creations strives to create  the highest quality product for your enjoyment and pleasure! To maintain the beauty and integrity of your charcuterie board, oiling is an essential part.  Due to the fine finish on our pieces, only a small amount of oil is required.

 

1. Apply a Good Quality Mineral Oil or Butcher Block Oil
   Apply 5-6 drops of mineral oil or butcher block oil to the surface and sides of the board. Use a soft microfiber cloth to spread the oil evenly.

2. Allow the Oil to Soak
   Let the oil sit on the board for at least 20 minutes to allow it to penetrate the wood.

3. Wipe Off Excess Oil
   After the oil has been absorbed, use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe off any excess oil. This will prevent a sticky surface and ensure a smooth finish.
